In reality, with just under 29,000 inhabitants, Queenstown is more like a particularly noisy village that has managed to amass more worldwide fame than cities with ten times the population and a fraction of the adrenaline. You could say that Queenstown is to a proper big city what a pocket knife is to a jackhammer: smaller, noisier, and not something you should carry in your trouser pocket without caution.
